Kolkata, April 24: In a scathing attack on the Congress, the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Jadavpur candidate Anirban Ganguly accused the party of jeopardising the financial savings of the common man. Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday evening, Ganguly criticised the Congress for its alleged plan to seize private property and redistribute it.

Anirban Ganguly said, "The Congress and its allies are now targeting the hard-earned savings of ordinary citizens. They intend to confiscate property and distribute it arbitrarily." In a stunning self-goal, Pitroda became the centre of the controversy after his remarks during an interview with the news agency ANI. Ganguly did not mince words when he accused the Congress of treating citizens' property as their birthright. "This 'dynastic party' has amassed wealth by looting the country. Now they believe that your property belongs to them," Ganguly said. "Children of the employed class have their futures tied to fixed deposits. But after their parents' demise, the government will take a portion of their property," Ganguly said, highlighting the impact on future generations. Ganguly emphasised that these concerns were outlined in the Congress manifesto.
