New Delhi, March 6: Minister of State for External Affairs General (Retd) Vijay Kumar Singh on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the opposition for raising questions on the India Air Force’s (IAF) air strikes on Jaish-e-Mohammed terror camps in Pakistan’s Balakot. He told ANI that next time whenever India conducts air strikes across the border against terrorists, opposition leaders who were raising questions on the IAF air strikes should be tied to aircraft and taken along. The union minister further added, “When the bombs are dropped, they can see the targets, and after that, they can get off, count the casualties and come back.” Digvijaya Singh Hits Out at BJP Over Keshav Prasad Maurya Calling Pulwama Attack 'A Big Accident', Questions PM Narendra Modi.

Earlier in the morning, the former Army chief taking a dig a on those asking for a number of casualties in the IAF air strikes, tweeted, “Last night at 3.30 am there were too many mosquitoes, so I used HIT (repellant). Now should I start counting how many mosquitoes I killed or should I go back to sleep?" However, in his tweet, he did not mention about the IAF strikes.

Yesterday too, the union minister slammed senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh for calling the February 14 Pulwama attack “an accident”. The former Army chief had said, “With due respect, I would like to ask Digvijaya Singh Ji, was Rajiv Gandhi's assassination an accident or a terror incident?”

Since the day the IAF had conducted the air strikes on JeM camps in Balakot, the opposition is demanding evidence of the number of casualties in the strikes. Meanwhile, on Monday, the IAF refused to comment on the number of terrorists killed in the Balakot strike saying that it was for the government to give out casualty details.
