Lucknow, May 6: Polling for round five of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 ended in Uttar Pradesh. Fourteen Lok Sabha seats from UP, including Amethi, Raebareli and Lucknow witnessed voting. A total of 57.07 percent voting was recorded in the state. The balance of important political leaders like Sonia Gandhi, Rajnath Singh, Rahul Gandhi and others was decided today as people cast their votes in the crucial general elections. The parliamentary constituencies went to polls were Dhaurahra, Sitapur, Mohanlalganj (SC), Lucknow, Raebareli, Amethi, Banda, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Barabanki (SC), Ayodhya (earlier known as Faizabad), Bahraich (SC), Kaisarganj and Gonda. Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Schedule: Constituency Wise Dates Of Voting And Results For UP General Elections.

There were 2.47 crore voters in the 14 parliamentary constituencies. This include 1.32 crore male voters and 1.14 crore female voters. The count of voters in the age bracket of 18-19 years was 3.39 lakh, while the number of voters aged 80 years was 4.84 lakh. The number of voting centres was 16,126; while there were as many as 28,702 polling booths.

Voting for Lok Sabha Elections 2019, which will elect the Members of the 17th Lok Sabha, began on April 11 and will end on May 19, in seven phases. The results are expected to be out by Thursday, evening of 23rd May, 2019. Voting in Uttar Pradesh has been scheduled in seven phases as the state sends maximum (80) number of MPs in the Parliament.
