Voting will take place in a total of 13 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh in phase 4 of the Lok Sabha Elections 2019.
Lucknow, April 29: On Monday, April 29, 13 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state of Uttar Pradesh went to polls. The 13 constituencies that witnessed polling today were: Shahjahanpur, Kheri, Hardoi, Misrikh, Unnao, Farrukhabad, Etawah, Kannauj, Kanpur, Akbarpur, Jalaun, Jhansi and Hamirpur. The other high profile battle was BJP's Sakshi Maharaj, who contested from Unnao Lok Sabha constituency.
From Etawah, the BJP's candidate from the seat was Ramashankar Katheriya. The Indian National Congress fielded Ashok Dohare from this constituency and the Samajwadi Party candidate was Kamlesh Katheria.
A total of 72 Lok Sabha constituencies across nine states will go to the polls today in the fourth phase of the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections. Voting will also take place in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag constituency in a three-phase vote. The fortunes of 961 candidates are at stake in this phase.
