Earlier, Mahesh Singh, the uncle of the rape survivor, had made a complaint that MLA's men were threatening them for the past few months, seeking the withdrawal of the case registered against Sengar. Singh had also appealed UP CM Yogi Adityanath to transfer the case to CBI. Meanwhile, the state government had directed the police department to conduct a thorough probe into the alleged conspiracy angle.
Investigating the alleged accident case, police have arrested truck's driver, cleaner and helper. Police also informed that all the accused are being rigorously interrogated. It is to be known that the victim with her two aunts and lawyer were going to Rae Bareli to visit Mahesh Singh on Sunday evening, who is currently lodged in jail. In the accident, victim's two aunts were killed, while the rape survivor and her lawyer are being treated for critical injuries at the King's George Medical University Hospital in Lucknow.
