Bengaluru, January 28: Hitting back at Union Minister Anantkumar Hegde for his provocative remarks on 'don't touch Hindu women', Karnataka Congress leader Dinesh Gundu Rao hits back on the BJP leader stating it as a sad reflection and lack of culture. However, a war on social media started soon after this as both the leaders began accusing each other.
Expressing his comments on Hegde’s statement, the Congress leader said, as reported by ANI, “It's very sad that he talks like this. It's a very sad reflection on the type of people who hold top positions in this govt. He always uses provocative language. That's probably what his party asks him to do.” Taj Mahal is a Shiv Temple & Not Built by Muslims; Shah Jahan Bought it From Indian King Jayasimha Claims Union Minister Anantkumar Hegde.
Adding more, Rao said that Hegde’s statement is not only demeaning of himself, also his office. The Congress leader said, “But to stoop to such low levels and make personal remarks, it shows the lack of culture. It's demeaning not only of himself but also his office. I hope BJP leaders tell him and advise him to not speak like this.”
Earlier on Sunday, while addressing a gathering in Karnataka, the Union Minister had said, “There should be a fundamental shift in our thinking. We should keenly observe what’s happening around us. Regardless of caste and religion, a hand that touches a Hindu girl should not exist.”

Before commenting on each other, Rao had asked him (Hegde) three questions, to which the Union Minister replied by taking a jibe at Congress leader's 'Muslim' wife.

I shall definitely answer this guy @dineshgrao's queries, before which could he please reveal himself as to who he is along with his achievements?
I only know him as a guy who ran behind a Muslim lady. https://t.co/8hVJ2wQXMU

This is not the first time that Hegde has made such controversial comments. Previously in 2017, he had claimed that BJP would soon change the Constitution of the country. Hegde had said, “Some people say the Constitution says secular and you must accept it. We will respect the Constitution, but the Constitution has changed several times, and it will change in the future too. We are here to change the Constitution and we’ll change it.”
