Gomati, Mar 3: Elections were held in Gomati district, along with other regions of Tripura on February 18, 2018. The Election Commission of India is scheduled to declare the results of Tripura assembly elections 2018 today. Counting of votes was scheduled to begin at 8 am. The district includes six assembly seats - Amarpur, Ampinagar, Matarbari, Bagma, Radhakishorpur, Karbook and Kakraban-Salgarh - six of which were won by the Manik Sarkar-led CPI(M) in the last elections. The seats of Amarpur, Ampinagar, Bagma, Matarbari, Radhakishorpur and Karbook were won by the CPM in the 2013 polls, whereas, the Kakraban-Salgarh was bagged by the Congress.
