TMC Manifesto For Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Released by West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee; Inquiry Into Demonetisation Among Promises Made
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee released the TMC manifesto claiming judicial inquiry into demonetisation, if comes to power after Lok Sabha 2019 results.
Kolkata, March 27: West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee released the party manifesto in Kolkata on Wednesday, a day after the last day of filing nominations for candidates elapsed on Monday. In the poll manifesto, Banerjee claimed that if come to power, her party would seek a judicial inquiry into demonetisation.
Focusing on issues related to farmers and their plights, Banerjee in her manifesto promised to make policies to benefit them. Adding on, the TMC manifesto emphasised on bringing the unemployment in India down and empower women. Along with this, she also promised better education opportunities for students and claimed that artisans would get their acclamation. In the manifesto, TMC has promised education aid to girls under the West Bengal model ‘Kanyashree’, come up with policies that would boost employment, build National Strategic Petroleum Reserves, deepen the Panchayati Raj System, bring ‘Health for All’ programme, 100 percent rural connectivity, among others.

Stating that the agricultural and allied sector, fisheries and animal husbandry is TMC’a top priority, Banerjee said that her party and aim to increase the productivity of farmers exponentially. Another promise that she made was an increase in Food Processing units and cold chain infrastructure.
