Bengaluru, June 29: Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Veerappa Moily on Thursday, while talking to media has taken a jibe on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Responding to Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP) and Union Minister Ananth Kumar Hegde’s ‘Tiger’ remark, Moily said, “The tiger has become wild, and has to be sent back to the forest.”

Earlier in the day, Hegde referred the opposition ‘Monkeys and Donkeys’. While addressing a rally at Karnataka’s Karwar, He asked the audience to vote carefully in 2019 polls and make a wise decision by voting of the BJP. He referred PM Modi to a tiger. Hegde said, “On one side crows, monkeys, foxes and others have come together, on the other side we have a tiger. In 2019, choose to elect the tiger.” The union minister also said, “We are sitting on plastic chairs isn't it?(asking the audience). This is due to Congress rule, had we ruled for 70 years, you would have been sitting on silver chairs.”

The Minister was in the news a few days back for his comment where he said that that knowledge of Sanskrit would be essential to build supercomputers. According to Hegde, it is the only language which is capable of adapting to next-generation technology. In April, Hedge received a call on his landline threatening to kill him.
