Hyderabad, January 30: The Telangana government has withdrawn a proposal to acquire land for construction of a helipad reportedly near a residence of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Karimnagar. It was proposed to be built reportedly near a residence of Rao in view of security reasons but was opposed by some locals affected by the land acquisition.

According to a notice issued by Karimnagar district collector Sarfaraz Ahmad, the chief minister has decided to withdraw land acquisition proceedings for construction of helipad at Theegalaguttapalli village of Karimnagar (Rural) Mandal. K Chandrasekhar Rao's Efforts to Form Third Front is to Help BJP: Congress MP.

"As such, the land acquisition proceedings are hereby withdrawn," the notice added.
