Hyderabad, January 30: The Telangana government has withdrawn a proposal to acquire land for construction of a helipad reportedly near a residence of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Karimnagar. It was proposed to be built reportedly near a residence of Rao in view of security reasons but was opposed by some locals affected by the land acquisition.
According to a notice issued by Karimnagar district collector Sarfaraz Ahmad, the chief minister has decided to withdraw land acquisition proceedings for construction of helipad at Theegalaguttapalli village of Karimnagar (Rural) Mandal. "As such, the land acquisition proceedings are hereby withdrawn," the notice added.
