Hyderabad, Sep 6: After passing resolution to dissolve Telanagna assembly, now caretaker chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday announced a list of 105 candidates for likely early polls in the state. Addressing the media after the Telangana Governor ESL Narasimhan dissolved the state assembly, Rao, who is popularly known as KCR, delcraed district-wise list of Telangana Rashtriya Samithi (TRS) candidates.

The dissolution of the assembly sets the tone for an early election in Telangana. The assembly term is till May 2019 and elections in normal course would have been held along with the Lok Sabha polls. However, following the dissolution of the assembly, elections may be conducted along with four other states going to polls in December.

As per the TRS candidates list, KCR will contest from Gajwel Assembly constituency, whie his son K T Rama Rao is fielded from Siricilla. KCR  said candidates for the remaining 14 constituencies will be announced soon. Here's the TRS list of candidates for Telangana Assembly elections.

Earlier today, the state cabinet passed a resolution for dissolution of the assembly at the meeting held at Pragati Bhavan, the official residence of the Chief Minister. Immediately after the cabinet meeting that lasted for less than half hour, KCR drove to Raj Bhavan to meet the Governor. Minutes later, a statement was issued from Raj Bhava announcing that the Governor had accepted the cabinet recommendation to dissolve the Assembly.
