Hyderabad, October 9: The voting for the Telangana Assembly Elections 2023 will be held in a single phase on Thursday, November 30. The election commission, on Monday, October 9, announced the schedule of elections to the Legislative Assembly of Telangana. Besides Telangana, four other states, namely Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, and Rajasthan, will also go to poll in November 2023.
While the polling will take place across five states in November, the results of the 5 State Assembly Elections 2023 will be announced on December 3. Rajiv Kumar, Chief Election Commissioner, said that the the total number of voters in Mizoram is 8.52 lakh, 2.03 crore in Chhattisgarh, 5.6 crore in Madhya Pradesh, 5.25 crore in Rajasthan and 3.17 crore in Telangana. When Is the Telangana Assembly Term Ending?

In the 2018 assembly elections in Telangana, which were held on December 7, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) registered a landslide victory against the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

In the previous state assembly election, BRS, which was then known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), won 88 seats out of the 19 assembly seats. To defeat the incumbent BRS party, four opposition parties, including Congress, TJS, TTDP and CPI, formed a grand alliance called "Maha Kootami". However, the "Maha Kootami" alliance could not dent TRS, which went on to win the elections and form the government again in the state.
