Telangana Assembly Elections 2018: TDP Supporter Deepak Reddy Climbs Electric Pole, Demands Ticket From Khairatabad Constituency

According to a tweet by ANI, the supporter was identified as Deepak Reddy. Reddy climbed an electric pole in front of TDP office in Jubilee Hills earlier on Wednesday, demanding a ticket from Khairatabad constituency. The supporter later climbed down.

Hyderabad, November 14: A Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supporter on Wednesday climbed an electric pole demanding a ticket for the upcoming polls in Telangana. According to a tweet by ANI, the supporter was identified as Deepak Reddy. Reddy climbed an electric pole in front of TDP office in Jubilee Hills earlier on Wednesday, demanding a ticket from Khairatabad constituency. The supporter later climbed down.

The Congress and TDP have fielded Congress' Dasoju Sravan Kumar from the Khairatabad constituency. The polling for Telangana Assembly Elections 2018 will take place in a single-phase on December 7. The Election Commission on Monday had issued notification for the December 7 election to the Telangana Legislative Assembly. According to the notification, nominations would be accepted from November 12 to 19 while the date for scrutiny of papers has been fixed on November 20.

In Telangana, the polls are believed to feature a three-cornered contest. The incumbent TRS being is being challenged by BJP, and a mahagathbandhan formed by the Congress, TDP and the Left.
