Hyderabad, December 1: Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday compared Congress president with a joker and doubted on his intelligence. While addressing election rallies in Illendu and other places, KCR hit out at Congress chief for accusing him of redesigning irrigation projects in the state for commissions.

Addressing rallies in the state on Friday, the TRS chief claimed that the irrigation projects were redesigned in the interests of the state. He was of the opinion that Congress leaders have not been able to serve Telangana's interests in the irrigation sector. Telangana Assembly Elections 2018: K Chandrasekhar Rao Loses Cool, Yells at Man Questioning the Status of Muslim Quota

Hitting at Rahul Gandhi, KCR said, “Whether that Rahul Gandhi has intelligence or not, God has given intelligence or not, speaks like a joker. (He says) we have redesigned (irrigation projects) for commissions.” Adding more he dared Gandhi by saying, “Rahul Gandhi, would you come, do you have guts, shall we go to Rudramakota. Shall we see...named after your father, how Rajiv Sagar, Indira Sagar are? I will take you there....Not making worthless allegations.”

Reacting on the commission allegations of Gandhi, KCR said, “We are building projects what we need... Do we need commission? I will give you commission if you want. Who needs commission? Ours is not a life of commission like you. Our life is one of fighting.” He claimed that his government launched investment support scheme and insurance scheme for farmers.

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi on Thursday while addressing an election meeting at Bhoopalpally in the tribal belt of Telangana had alleged KCR of taking commission for the redesigning irrigation projects for commissions and called him "Khao Commission Rao".

He had said, “Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi weakened Adivasi Bill (Tribal Bill) at the centre and KCR diluted it at the state. As soon as we form our government in Telangana we will ensure that you (tribals) get back your land. We have mentioned this in our manifesto also. We will give reservations too that will be proportionate to your population.”
