Talking about the elections in Telangana, the contest in the state is likely to feature a three-cornered contest, with the incumbent TRS being challenged by an aggressive BJP, and a mahagathbandhan formed by the Congress, TDP and the Left. The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), which supports the TRS through the backdoor, is contesting only in the seven seats of Hyderabad district. The voting in Telangana will take place in a single-phase on December 7, while counting of votes will take place on December 11, deciding the fate of the parties and the state.
