Patna, June 8: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday met Congress president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi. Yadav then took to Twitter to share his feelings about the fruitful meeting and quoted British legend, William Wordsworth.

"Fruitful meeting with @RahulGandhi Ji. Bliss was it to be in that dawn..to be young was all the more heaven”, Yadav tweeted. Quoting Wordsworth, Yadav said, “We are committed to take nation out of the climate of fear generated by this regime. Watch out! Shall come out with a committed programme for farmers, youth, women, poor."

In an over 40 minutes meeting, the RJD leader and the Congress chief discussed the strategy for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and discussed the politics in Bihar. They also discussed strategy to further strengthen the Mahagathbandhan in the state.

In another tweet, the RJD leader said, "We are here not to form govts but to transform the lives of the downtrodden people against the wishes of current right-wing authoritarian regime. Our togetherness is aimed at protecting the constitution, secular-democratic values & goals of Social Justice. We shall fight, we shall win."

According to reports, the two leaders also talked about poll campaign, selection of candidates, agenda setting and failure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
