Patna, March 28: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) legislator and former minister Tej Pratap Yadav on Thursday resigned as chief of party’s student wing. In a veiled attack at the party leadership in his twitter post, he said that the people who think he is immature are fools. Earlier in the day, Tej Pratap admitted that he had recommended two candidates in Bihar for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. However, he ruled out any rift with his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav.  Tej Pratap Yadav Flays Ram Vilas Paswan For ‘Angootha Chaap’ Remark Against Mother Rabri Devi.

Tej Pratap Yadav's tweet:

Tej Pratap denied reports which claimed that he had announced candidates for Jehanabad and Sheohar Lok Sabha seats without RJD's approval. He also rejected reports suggesting differences between Tejashwi and him. However, according to media reports, the RJD legislature was unhappy after the party denied ticket to the candidates suggested by him.

In the absence of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tejashwi emerged as the de facto leader of the RJD. Tejashwi is at present the leader of the opposition in the state assembly. Following in his father's footsteps, Tejaswi has, of late, begun to hold court at the party office where he listens to peoples grievances and redresses them. His Janata Durbar has triggered speculations of sibling rivalry within the party.
