Patna, March 28: RJD legislator and former minister Tej Pratap Yadav on Thursday admitted that he recommended two candidates in Bihar for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Ruling out a rift with his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav, Tej Pratap denied reports that claimed he had announced candidates for Jehanabad and Sheohar Lok Sabha seats without RJD's approval.

According to a report, Tej Pratap has announced candidature of Chandra Prakash and Angesh Singh for Jehanabad Sheohar Lok Sabha seats respectively. Speaking to a news channel, the RJD leader he has recommended two names to Tejashwi and is confident that his younger brother will respond positively. When asked what would be his next step if Tejashwi, who has emerged as the de facto leader of the RJD in the absence of his father Lalu Prasad Yadav, rejects his suggestion, Tej Pratap said his younger brother always listens to his elders. He also rejected reports suggesting differences between Tejashwi and him. "Those who have circulating false news will be cursed. Tejashwi is at present the leader of the opposition in the state assembly. He has, of late, begun to hold court at the party office where he listens to peoples grievances and redresses these in a style reminiscent of his father. His Janata Durbar has triggered speculations of sibling rivalry within the party.

The brothers, however, debunk such speculations appearing holding each others' hands at public functions in a show of solidarity.
