Patna, April 2: RJD leader and former Bihar Health Minister Tej Pratap Yadav and his personal assistant were allegedly issued death threats on Tuesday. The 31-year-old, along with his aide, approached the police after receiving the threat calls. Based on his complaint, an FIR was registered at the Secretariat Police Station in the state capital.
The death threat to Tej Pratap comes amid his ongoing feud with his younger brother and RJD's de facto chief Tejashwi Yadav. Earlier in the day, he signalled a full-fledged rebellion after issuing Tejashwi a fresh two-day ultimatum to issue tickets to his choice of candidates from Jahanabad and Sheohar constituencies.

A day earlier, Tej Pratap had launched the 'Lalu-Rabri Morcha' -- a unit within his party to "safeguard the principle of vision" of his father and RJD patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadav and his mother, the former chief minister Rabri Devi.
The battle within the RJD first family was thrown out in the open after Tej Pratap, last week, stepped down from the position of party's student wing patron. In the next couple of days, he resigned from all posts accorded to him by the RJD top brass.
