Patna, April 1: Dissident RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav has furthered his rebellion by launching the "Lalu Rabri Morcha" in the state capital on Monday. Speaking to reporters after the launch, the elder Yadav scion said his newly floated unit would damage the prospects of the Mahagathbandhan in the upcoming polls if the "two demands" raised by him are not met.

"We demand two Lok Sabha seats of Sheohar and Jehanabad," Tej Pratap said, failing to which he threatened the RJD leadership with dire consequences. The remarks were targeted at his younger brother and the party's de facto chief Tejashwi Yadav.

On Saturday, Tej Pratap had issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Tej Pratap, seeking the replacement of Jahanabad candidate Surendra Yadav with his supporter Chandra Prakash Yadav; along with the announcement of Angesh Kumar as the candidate from Sheohar.

Tejashwi, while responding to his Tej Pratap's ultimatum, had told reporters that the party is contemplating on the two names. Playing down his brother's threat, he said, "Tej Pratap has every right to give us suggestions. We are considering it."

In the past week, the feud within the RJD first family came out in the open after Tej Pratap resigned as the patron of party's student wing.

RJD spokesperson Mritunjay Tiwary, till Sunday, brushed the speculations of a split, claiming that differences of opinion should not be projected as "factionalism" within the party.
