Amravati/New Delhi, June 10: Hours after the Bharatiya Janata Party senior leaders tweeted about former Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj becoming the next governor of Andhra Pradesh, the Swaraj has denied those claims and stated that the reports are not true.
Clearing the air over her appointment as the new Andhra Pradesh governor, she took to Twitter and wrote, "The news about my appointment as Governor of Andhra Pradesh is not true." Sushma Swaraj, Former MEA, Most Likely To Become New Governor of Andhra Pradesh

She also mentioned her meeting with Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and took a jibe at netizens for appointing as next governor of Andhra Pradesh. She wrote, "I called on the Vice President of India Shri Venkaiah Naidu ji on the demitting office as Minister of External Affairs. This was enough for Twitter to appoint me as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh."

Earlier, senior BJP leaders like Union Minister Harsh Vardhan and Tamil Nadu BJP vice president SG Suryah had congratulated Swaraj of reportedly being appointed as AP Governor. Though Harsh Vardhan deleted the tweet soon after post it.
