The results of the Surat Lok Sabha Constituency will be declared today. The counting of votes began on the Parliamentary seat in Gujarat at 8 am on Thursday, May 23. Voting took place for the Surat seat in the third phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 23. A total voter turnout of 59.84 per cent was recorded, as per Election Commission of India. The Bharatiya Janata Party  (BJP) has fielded Darshana Jardosh, while the Indian National Congress has given a ticket to Ashok Patel from Surat. Whereas, the Communist Party of India announced Vijay Shenmare from Surat.

As of 2014, this constituency comprises seven Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) segments. Polling will be held on April 23 while the counting of votes will take place on May 23. In the 2014 General Elections, Bharatiya Janata Party's Darshana Jardosh had won the Surat seat with a thumping majority and had defeated Naishadh Desai of the Congress party.

The Lok Sabha polls 2019 will take place crosswise the nation between April 11, 2019, and May 23, 2019. While voting will take place in seven phases between April 11 and May 19, the national election results will be announced on May 23.
