New Delhi, January 27: BJP MP Subramanian Swamy on Sunday levelled a shocking allegation against Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the youngest Nehru-Gandhi scion, accusing the 47-year-old of suffering from a bipolar personality disorder. According to Swamy, her medical conditioning is not suited for medical life, as one does not know when "she will lose her mental stability".

Swamy, who was once associated with late former prime minister and Priyanka's father Rajiv Gandhi, claimed that she has a short temper and turns violent. "She beats people up," he added. Priyanka Gandhi to Launch Formal Political Career on February 4 With Holy Dip at Kumbh Mela.

Here is what Swamy told news agency ANI:

"She suffers from a disease which is not suited to one who is in public life. It is called bipolarity, which means that one could not gauge when she would lose her temper. She beats up people. No one knows when she would lose her stability," Swamy said. 'Chocolatey Faces': BJP's Kailash Vijayvargiya Sexist Jibe at Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

The lambasting remarks from the BJP veteran comes a couple of days after Congress president Rahul Gandhi announced the entry of Priyanka into active politics. The latter, his sister and daughter of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, has been assigned as the general secretary in-charge of East Uttar Pradesh -- the region which accounts for nearly 40 constituencies in the Lok Sabha.
