A day after the Congress Working Committee (CWC) suggested that Rahul Gandhi should be Congress’ face as the Prime Ministerial candidate, Subramanian Swamy took a jibe at the Congress President. The senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said that Rahul could be the President of the United Nations too if they (Congress) want to.

Taking on Rahul Gandhi, Swamy also said, “Not just that. He can be the President of (the United States of) America, Russia, and China too. What’s with the passage of that resolution when the party is dying a slow death gradually?”

The senior BJP leader came down heavily on Rahul Gandhi for his antics in the Monsoon session of the Parliament, where the latter finished his speech and gave an unprecedented hug to PM Narendra Modi on Friday.

It was also reported that Rahul had suggested that his party members and workers should learn work ethics from the BJP and RSS workers. Swamy critically discarded the suggestion too; he said, “He should learn, but then for it, they need to have their mind in the right place.”

Subramanian Swamy, who is famous not to mince words while giving his piece of mind, also took on senior Congress leaders, notably former Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

Earlier, it was Congress President Rahul Gandhi who hugged PM Narendra Modi after completing his speech during the no-confidence motion trust-vote debate, on Friday. The unprecedented hug took Modi by surprise, too, and it seemed a masterstroke from Rahul. However, it was his wink, later on, which gave away all the mileage that he had milked from the hug.
