Subramanian Swamy Hits Out At Economic Policies Of Narendra Modi Government, But Says BJP Will Win 2019 Lok Sabha Elections
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha MP said that the party would fight the Lok Sabha Election of 2019 will be fought on the issues of Hindutva.
New Delhi, October 9: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy said that the party would fight the Lok Sabha elections of 2019 on the issue of Hindutva. In an interview to the HuffiPost, Swami also took a dig at economic policies of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government. When asked about whether Hindutva will counter demonetisation, GST, record fuel prices, the BJP MP said that the people in the Ministry of Finance were clueless. Swamy further added that traders are the bedrock of our Hindutva, but still they were hit severely by the economic policies of the government.
The Rajya Sabha MP also hit out at Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. He said that Jaitley does not understand because he had never studied economics and he relied on bureaucrats and economic advisers. During the interview, Swamy said that the way the Finance Ministry is structured currently, it could not deliver the goods. He termed lynching as ‘Un-Hindu’. He said that he is against giving tickets to candidates accused of lynching. The senior lawmaker expressed confidence that the BJP would gain a majority in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The Rajya Sabha MP believed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would retain the post as there is no challenge to him. During the interview, he also said that the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) never interferes in the decisions of the BJP. Speaking on the issue of the Ram temple, Swamy said that the construction of the temple would start within the next few months.
