Lok Sabha Elections 2019: The results of polls in the Sonipat Lok Sabha Constituency were declared today. The counting of votes began on the Parliamentary seat in Haryana at 8 am on Thursday, May 23. Ramesh Chandar Kaushik of the BJP won the seat. Voting took place for the Sonipat seat in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 on May 12.

Candidates from the Sonipat Parliamentary seat in Haryana include former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda of the Congress, Ramesh Chandar Kaushik of the BJP and Surender Kumar Chhikkara of the INLD among others. The last date for filing nomination from the Sonipat seat for Lok Sabha polls 2019 is April 23. The last date for withdrawal of nomination is April 26. The Lok Sabha Elections 2014 on the Sonipat seat was won by Ramesh Chander of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Chander had defeated Jagbir Singh Malik of the Congress party and is the sitting MP from the Sonipat Lok Sabha constituency.

The Lok Sabha Elections 2019 will take place across India between April 11 and May 23. While voting will take place for 543 Lok Sabha seats in seven phases between April 11 and May 19, the counting of votes will take place on May 23.
