Solapur City North Vidhan Sabha Constituency Election Result 2019 in Maharashtra: Deshmukh Vijaykumar Sidramappa of BJP Wins MLA Seat in Assembly Polls
The Solapur City North constituency is located in State of Maharashtra. The seat falls in Marathwada zone of the state. In the 2014 assembly elections, the seat was won by Rana Jagjit Sinha Patil of National Congress Party (NCP). He was declared the winner by a margin of 69014 votes. The second runner-up was Omprakash Bhupalsinha Rajenimbalkar of Shiv Sena party.
Mumbai: Deshmukh Vijaykumar Sidramappa of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won the Solapur City North Vidhan Sabha in Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019. Deshmukh defeated Anand Baburao Chandanshive of the Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi party.
The seat is located in State of Maharashtra. The assembly segment primarily features an electoral contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-Shiv Sena alliance and the Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) combine. Polling in all the constituencies of in Maharashtra was held on October 21, 2019 along with assembly elections in Haryana. From the Solapur City North seat, the saffron coalition had fielded BJP's Deshmukh Vijaykumar Sidramappa. The Opposition candidate from the constituency was Anand Baburao Chandanshive of the Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi party. In 2014, the assembly segment was wrested between Congress leader Chavan Madhukarrao Deorao and National Congress Party (NCP) leader Gore Jeevanrao Vishwanathrao. As per the results declared by the Election Commission, the seat was won by Congress leader Chavan Madhukarrao Deorao by a margin of 29610 votes.
Ahead of the elections, all major surveys had predicted the BJP-Sena coalition to hold the edge. The sum of major opinion polls have claimed a return of the incumbent ruling alliance in the forthcoming polls. Surveys have went to the extent of predicting 205-220 seats for the BJP-Sena alliance.
