Sobha Surendran, General Secretary of BJP's Kerala Unit, Declared 'Most Wanted' by Court
The Thrissur Additional District Court pronounced her 'Most Wanted' after she failed to appear before the magistrate court for hearings in the 2012 case regarding a protest that had turned violent.
Thiruvananthapuram, March 3: BJP Kerala State General Secretary Sobha Surendran has been declared 'Most Wanted' by the Thrissur Additional District Court after failing to appear before the magistrate court for hearings in the 2012 case regarding a protest that had turned violent.
Another BJP worker from Pudukad, Aneesh, has been given the tag of 'Most Wanted' along with Sobha Surendran for not turning up for the hearing in the violent protests case.
The protest, an anti-toll booth gathering organised seven years ago, had turned violent after a clash broke out between the police and the crowd. In February 2012, the Oommen Chandy-led UDF government faced protests over its decision to begin toll collection on the Mannuthy-Edappally National Highway.
Sobha Surendran had recently filed a plea in the court regarding police measures at Sabarimala during the women entry row in the temple. The court called the PIL mischievous and imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on Surendran.
