Results of the Lok Sabha elections in Singhbhum constituency, along with other parliamentary segments of the nation, has been declared. Laxman Giluwa of BJP has emerged winner from here. The seat went to polls on May 12, when the sixth phase of general elections 2019 were held. According to data by Election Commission of India, the total number of electorates in the Singhbhum Lok Sabha Constituency is 957,406 of which 484,836 are males and 472,570 are females. The current MP and BJP candidate from this constituency is Laxman Giluwa of the BJP. Congress, which is contesting in alliance with the JMM, has fielded Geeta Koda.

All the 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in Jharkhand will go to poll in four phases. The seats of Giridih, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur and Singhbhum would go to polls in the sixth phase which is scheduled to take place on May 12. The voting in the state will be held in the 4th phase, 5th phase, 6th phase and 7th phases of the Lok Sabha elections. Three seats will be contested on April 29; four constituencies on May 6; four Lok Sabha segments on May 12; and three seats on May 19. The results will be declared on May 23.

In the Lok Sabha Elections 2014, Laxman Giluwa of the BJP had won the Singhbhum seat by defeating Geeta Kora of the Jai Bharat Samanta Party. Giluwa had won the seat by 303,131 votes while Kora managed to get 215,607 votes.
