Shiv Sena IT Cell Member Ramesh Solanki Resigns From Uddhav Thackeray-Led Party as Protest Against Forming Alliance With Congress, NCP

Shiv Sena leader Ramesh Solanki on Tuesday resigned from the party. Solanki resigned from the party hours after Uddhav Thackeray was elected as the leader of Maha Vikas Agadi - the alliance of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress and is also asset become the next CM of the state.

Mumbai, November 26: Shiv Sena leader Ramesh Solanki on Tuesday resigned from the party. Solanki's resignation came hours after Uddhav Thackeray was elected as the leader of Maha Vikas Agadi - the alliance of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress and is also asset become the next CM of the state. The Shiv Sena leader said that his conscience and ideology did not permit him to work with Congress. He also congratulated Thackeray-led party for forming a government in the state. Solanki tweeted, “I am resigning from my respected post in BVS/YuvaSena and @ShivSena I thank @OfficeofUT  and Adibhai @AUThackeray  for giving me opportunity to work and serve the people of Mumbai, Maharashtra and Hindustan.” In another tweet, he said, “But my conscious and ideology doesnt permit me to work with Congress, I cant work half heartedly and it wont be fair to my post, my party my fellow ShivSainiks and my leaders.” Sharad Pawar Emerges From Shadows As Maratha Strongman Amid Power Tussle in Maharashtra.

Referring to Congress, Solanki said that he would have any relation with those who could not respect Lord Ram. He stated that he is leaving Shiv Sena on a winning note. Adding further, Solanki said, “I am walking out as proud ShivSainik for my ideology n principles.”

Solanki worked with the Shiv Sena for almost 21 years. He joined the Thackeray-led party in 1998. In September this year, reports surfaced that Solanki registered a complaint with the LT Marg police station against Netflix for allegedly adopted a concerted strategy to "defame" Hindus and India through shows such as Leila and Sacred Games. However, the Shiv Sena denied the reports.
