Mumbai, June 6: A day after reports arrived that 18 elected MPs of Shiv Sena - along with party chief Uddhav Thackeray - are expected to visit Ayodhya on June 15 to seek blessings of Ram Lalla, Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut on Thursday claimed that the post of Deputy Speaker’s post in the Lok Sabha belongs to them.
In the major claim, Raut stated, "This (deputy Speaker post) is not our demand, it is our natural claim and right, this post must be given to Shiv Sena." It is to be known that the decision on the post of Speaker for Lok Sabha would be taken on June 19 and following this, the Deputy Speaker would be chosen. Uddhav Thackeray, 18 Shiv Sena MPs to Visit Ayodhya to Seek Blessings of 'Ram Lalla' on June 15 After Lok Sabha Victory.
Though winning 18 seats in the recently concluded Lok Sabha Elections 2019, Shiv Sena has been awarded only Union Cabinet berth - Heavy Industries Ministry to Arvind Sawant. Contesting in alliance with BJP in Maharashtra, NDA clinched 41 parliamentary seats.
Along with this, reports are also arriving that as the amalgamation of BJP and Shiv Sena worked in Lok Sabha polls, both are on their way to contest the Assembly elections together - scheduled in September-October this year. If this happens, this would be a major jolt to the already opposition parties like Congress and NCP.
