Meanwhile, the chorus grows for India to boycott its scheduled match against Pakistan at the ICC 2019 Cricket World Cup in England & Wales. The BCCI is considering boycotting Pakistan in the upcoming World Cup as a mark of protest after the Pulwama terror attack backed by Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) operating from Pakistan, that resulted in the loss of lives of 40 Indian CRPF jawans.
Also, India's refusal to grant visas to Pakistani shooters following Pulwama terror attack has the International Olympic Committee (IOC) fuming which has suspended any further discussions with India on hosting any international event following on February 14, 2019. The Committee also said that India cannot hold any international event until clear written guarantees are obtained from the Indian government on complying with the Indian Charter.
