New Delhi, July 23: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Tuesday revised the security cover provided to RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, UP minister Suresh Rana, BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy and LJP MP and son of Ram Vilas Paswan, Chirag Paswan. UP Minister Suresh Rana has also seen his security cover getting degraded. LJP MP Chirag Paswan's CRPF cover has been withdrawn and security downgraded to Y grade.
The Ministry of Home Affairs’s letter also mentions that the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, UP minister Suresh Rana, and BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy have been removed from the Central list (CRPF protectees). BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj and senior BSP leader Satish Chandra Mishra's security cover have also been decreased, said reports.

The highest security cover provided to a personality in India is Z+. The security category provided depends upon threat perception to the individual.
