Bhopal, December 11: The results for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2018 will be declared today. The counting of votes has begun in MP as well as four other states that went to polls in November and December. We are bringing you updates on the results for six MP Vidhan Sabha constituencies - Sarangpur (SC), Susner, Agar, Shajapur, Shujalpur, Kalapipal. Voting for the MP Assembly polls was held on November 28 in a single phase. The exit polls have not been able to predict a clear picture of whether the BJP or the Congress would win the state. Sarangpur (SC) Assembly Seat
The Sarangpur (SC) seat has been with the BJP since 2003. The party has fielded Kunwarji Kothar, who also won the 2013 polls on this seat for the BJP. Kothar is up against Kala Mahesh Malviya of the Congress and Durgesh Ahirwar of the BSP.
Susner Assembly Seat
The Susner seat in MP has been a BJP-ruled seat since 2003. The BJP has fielded Murlidhar Patidar, who won the 2013 MP Assembly Poll on this seat. Patidar has been fielded against Mahendra Singh Parihar of the Congress and Phool Chand Malviya of the BSP.
Agar (SC) Assembly Seat
The Agar seat has mostly been a BJP-ruled seat. The 2013 election on this seat was won by Manohar Untwal of the BJP, who has once again been fielded by the party this election. Untwal is up against Vipin Wankhede of the Congress and Govind Suryavanshi of the BSP. The AAP has fielded Babilal Malviya here.
Shajapur Assembly Seat
While Shajapur had been a Congress dominated seat since 1993, in 2013, Arun Bhimawad of the BJP had won this seat. The BJP has this year again fielded Bhimawad. He is up against Karada Hukumsingh of the Congress and Choukhutiya Rajendrasingh of the BSP.
Shujalpur Assembly Seat
The Shujalpur seat has been with the BJP since 2003. Jaswant Singh Hada of the BJP won this seat twice in 2008 and 2013. This year, the BJP has fielded Inder Singh Parmar on this seat against Ranweer Sikarwar of the Congress and Jay Singh of the BSP.
Kalapipal Assembly Seat
The Kalapipal seat has been with the BJP since the past two polls. The party has brought back Babulal Verma, who had won this seat in 2008 elections. Verma is contesting against Kunal Choudhary of the Congress and Rajesh Badodiya of the BSP.
