Sanjay Raut Warns Ally BJP that Shiv Sena Can Look For Other 'Alternatives', But It Doesn't Want to Commit the Sin of Accepting that Alternative
Raut further warned ally BJP, "Uddhav Thackeray Ji has said that we have other options too but we don't want to do the sin of accepting that alternative. Shiv Sena has always done politics of truth, we are not hungry for power." he said.
Mumbai, October 29: Sanjay Raut on being asked 'why it's taking time to form the government despite a pre-poll alliance with BJP', he said, "There is no Dushyant here whose father is in jail. Here it's us who do politics of 'dharma and Satya', Sharad Ji who created an environment against BJP and Congress who will never go with BJP."
He further warned ally BJP, "Uddhav Thackeray Ji has said that we have other options too but we don't want to do the sin of accepting that alternative. Shiv Sena has always done politics of truth, we are not hungry for power." he said. In the latest development to Maharashtra government formation status, two independent MLAs, Vinod Agrawal and Mahesh Baldi have extended their support to Devendra Fadnavis and the BJP government.
BJP's tally in the Assembly elections came down from 122 in 2014 to 105, prompting the Sena to play hardball in power-sharing talks. Among Sena's demands is written assurance from the BJP on "equal sharing of power", which will also include equal division of the chief ministerial tenure.
