Mumbai, May 19: Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam has made a derogatory remark on Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala. Talking to Media, Nirupam accused Vala of showing having towards the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The Congress leader launched a veiled attack on the Karnataka governor.

Talking about political turmoil in Karnataka, Nirupam took a jibe on the governor. He said that Vala proved his loyalty towards the BJP. The Congress leader further added that seeing Vala’s loyalty everybody in the country should name their dogs Vajubhai Vala. After his derogatory remark on the Karnataka governor, Nirupam faced criticism on social media.

Congress also criticised Sanjay Nirupmam's derogatory remark on the Karnataka Governor. Congress Spokesperson, Randeep Surjewala Said, "Congress doesn't agree with any such statement. The Karnataka Governor, murdered democracy, however, any statement made on him personally won't be accepted. Rahul Gandhi and Congress have regard for their worst enemies unlike PM Modi."

Earlier in the day, newly sworn Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa resigned ahead of the floor test in the state assembly. The BJP won 104 seats in the assembly elections 2018 falling short of eight seats. The governor still invited the BJP to form the government in spite of Congress-Janata dal (Secular) alliance has 115 seats in the assembly, however, Yeddyurappa showed confidence in winning all the 28 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
