Samajwadi Party Leader Firoz Khan Fools UP Police by Wearing 'Sehra' to Reach Rampur For Expressing Solidarity With Azam Khan
Samajwadi Party leader Firoz Khan fooled Uttar Pradesh police on Friday to reach Rampur to express solidarity with party MP Azam Khan against whom more than 80 FIR’s have been lodged. Former Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav had also reached Rampur on Friday to express solidarity with the Rampur MP
Rampur, September 14: Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Firoz Khan fooled Uttar Pradesh police on Friday to reach Rampur to express solidarity with party MP Azam Khan against whom more than 80 FIR’s have been lodged. Firoz covered his face with groom’s sehra to dodge the police which have imposed section 144 in the district. The SP leader managed to reached Rampur successfully. Earlier in March this, a notice was also issued against Firoz by National Commission for Women for his derogatory remark against Jaya Prada. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party leader and former chief minister of the state Akhilesh Yadav had also reached Rampur on Friday to express solidarity with the Rampur MP. He is on a two-day visit to the district. On Saturday, Yadav addressed the SP workers in Rampur. Azam Khan did not attend the event. However, his son Abdullah Azam was present at the gathering.

According to reports, a total of 82 cases have been registered against the Rampur MP. Of the total cases, 50 are related to land grabbing. Meanwhile, other cases have been registered against him on the complaint of farmers of Aliyaganj. His anticipatory bail application has already been rejected by a local court. A warrant has also been issued against Azam Khan by ACJM (I) after he failed to appear before the court in a case registered against him in 2010 under section 171 G, related to giving a false statement during an election. An arrest warrant has also been issued against the Rampur MP for making a derogatory statement against BJP candidate Jaya Prada during the Lok Sabha elections 2019.
