Safidon Vidhan Sabha Constituency Election Result 2019 in Haryana: Subhash Gangoli of Congress Wins MLA Seat in Assembly Polls

Subhash Gangoli of the Congress won the Haryana Assembly Elections 2019 with a margin of 3,658 votes. He defeated Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Bachan Singh Arya. Gangoli received 57,253 votes, while Arya got 53,560 votes. Independent candidate Rajbir Sharma came third.

Subhash Gangoli of the Congress won the Haryana Assembly Elections 2019 with a margin of 3,658 votes. He defeated Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Bachan Singh Arya. Gangoli received  57,253 votes, while Arya got 53,560 votes. Independent candidate Rajbir Sharma came third. In 2014, independent candidate Jasbir Deswal won from Safidon.

The Safidon Vidhan Sabha constituency falls in the Jind district of Haryana. Voting in Safidon for the Haryana Assembly Elections 2019 took place on October 21. The Election Commission of India (ECI) on September 21 announced the election schedule for Haryana. Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora informed Haryana has 1.82 crore registered voters. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Bachan Singh Arya from the Safidon Assembly Constituency, while Subhash Gangoli is contesting on Congress ticket. Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) has given the ticket to Joginder Kalwa. In 2014, independent candidate Jasbir Deswal won from Safidon.

According to the schedule of Haryana polls announced by the Election Commission, nomination papers were filed till October 4. Nomination papers were scrutinised on October 5. In Haryana, the main fight was between the Congress and the BJP.  However, the newly formed JPP managed to dent vote share of both the parties. In the 2014 polls in the state, the BJP had won with a thumping majority and had scripted history in the state. The BJP had won 47 seats, while the Congress managed to win only 15 seats.
