The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Rathod Dipsinh Shankarsinh while the Indian National Congress has given a ticket to Thakor Rajendrasinh Shivsinh. Whereas, the Bahujan Samaj Party announced Vinodbhai Jethabhai Mesariya from Sabarkantha.
As of 2014, this constituency comprises seven legislative assembly segments. Polling will be held on April 23 while the counting of votes will take place on May 23. In the 2014 General Elections, Bharatiya Janata Party's Dipsinh Shankarsinh Rathod had won the Sabarkantha seat with a huge majority and had defeated Shankersinh Vaghela of the Congress party.
