'RSS Must Must Send Nitin Gadkari For Negotiations': Shiv Sena's Kishore Tiwari Writes to Mohan Bhagwat as Impasse Continues in Maharashtra

In his letter, Tiwari has appealed Bhagwat to deploy Union Minister and BJP veteran Nitin Gadkari to act as the troubleshooter in Maharashtra. Gadkari, with his goodwill among Sena leaders and years of experience in state politics, will be able to effectively negotiate a post-poll pact between the 30-year-old saffron allies, suggested Tiwari.

New Delhi, November 5: With no immediate end in sight for the political impasse in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena leader Kishore Tiwari has called upon the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to resolve the crisis. Tiwari, a farmers' leader who jumped from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to Shiv Sena ahead of the assembly polls, wrote a letter to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday. Sonia Gandhi Disapproves Alliance With Ideological Nemesis Shiv Sena For Forming Government in Maharashtra: Report.

"I have written a letter to RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat to initiate and send Nitin Gadkari for negotiations. Nitin Gadkari will be able to resolve the situation within two hours," Tiwari told reporters.

Update by ANI:

Sena, which is vehemently seeking the chief ministerial post for two-and-a-half years, upped the ante further against the BJP today. Addressing the press, senior party leader Sanjay Raut said that the swearing-in is not the "monopoly" of any particular party, adding that the "next CM will be from Sena only".

On being asked whether Sena would eventually seal the pact with the BJP after the tussle, Raut said the commotion has not been cooked up by the party. "The face and politics of Maharashtra is changing, you will see. What you call hungama (commotion) is not hungama but the fight for justice and rights... victory will be ours," the Rajya Sabha MP added.
