Mumbai, Haryana, October 21: The exit poll results of the Maharashtra and Haryana assembly elections will be out today after the voting process gets completed in the two states. The poll panel has issued a notification saying there would be a ban on the exit polls from 7 am to 6.30 pm on October 21. Republic TV Jan Ki Baat will also be going live with its exit poll predictions for the two states, before the results on October 24. Polling began on Monday morning in all 288 Assembly constituencies of Maharashtra where 3,237 candidates, including 235 women, are in the fray. Bypolls to 51 Assembly constituencies in 17 states took place on the same day, apart from the two parliamentary constituencies of Satara in Maharashtra and Samastipur in Bihar. Ban on exit poll is affective on these elections as well, said the Election Commission. Republic TV will start the exit polls prediction from 6:30 PM. Here is how you can watch it online.

The opinion poll conducted by Jan ki Baat had predicted that the BJP will win in both Haryana and Maharashtra. The ruling party is predicted to win 58-70 seats in the 90-member Haryana legislative assembly. The survey predicted Congress to be winning 12-15 seats, while the 10-month old Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) to win 5-8 seats.
For the Maharashtra Assembly seats, opinion poll predicted that BJP would win 142-147 seats, while its alliance partner Shiv Sena could win 83-85 seats. The Congress-NCP combine, on the other hand, is predicted to win 48-52 seats. The BJP, under Fadnavis' leadership, is seeking a second straight term in the state.
