Mumbai, October 12: Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, facing flak for his comment on Saturday in which he claimed that there is no economic slowdown as recent films did well at the box office, issued a clarification for his remark. Sharing the full video of his interaction, Ravi Shankar Prasad wrote, "Have already shared the full video of my Press Conference in Mumbai today. "Inflation, Fiscal and Current Account deficits are under control. India continues to be one of the biggest recipients of FDI and Foreign Exchange reserves are soaring. Income tax returns and tax collections are all time high," he said in his another tweet.
The minister, in a series of tweets, claimed that the government has "pumped in money in banking and housing sectors." "Under the leadership of PM Modi the inherent robustness of Indian economy shall remain firm. After sharing all details about economy it was only in the end I had mentioned about revenue collections by 3 films. Observations on earnings of films has to be seen in that context," he said in his last tweet.
