Nagpur, February 3: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh or RSS is planning to launch its Christian wing on the lines of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch that it established over a decade ago. The RSS might set up Rashtriya Isai Manch to reach out to Christians. Similar efforts had been taken in 2016 and 2017 when some Christian groups met representatives of the RSS. However, the plan to establish Rashtriya Isai Manch could not be implemented.
According to a report, talks are going on between Christian groups and RSS leaders for setting up Rashtriya Isai Manch "to bridge the gap between Christians and Sangh". Though no official statement was released either by the RSS or Christian groups, it is envisaged that a Rashtriya Isai Manch would be launched soon. Mohan Bhagwat Critical of Modi Government? "I was curious to know about the RSS after 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Since then, efforts are being taken to bridge the gap between the Sangh and the Christian community," he said.
RSS Sah Sarkaryavah (Joint General Secretary) Manmohan Vaidya said the Sangh never runs campaign to make contact with people. "Whoever wishes to join us, our doors are always open for them," he said.
