Bharatpur, December 11: Counting of votes is underway to determine the winners from the 199 constituencies of Rajasthan which went to polls in the single-phase assembly elections held last week. LatestLY brings to you here the live updates of trends and results emerging from the following six seats: Ramgarh, Rajgarh–Laxmangarh, Kathumar, Kaman, Nagar and Deeg–Kumher. The contest is here is three-cornered, with Mayawati's BSP denting the prospects of the ruling BJP and the Congress.
Ramgarh: Here, the BJP has replaced incumbent MLA Gyandev Ahuja with Sukhwant Singh. The Congress has issued ticket to Shafia Zubair, whereas, the BSP has fielded Laxman Singh. Catch the fastest results here.
Rajgarh–Laxmangarh: From this constituency, the BJP has fielded Vijay Samartha Lal, whereas, the Congress candidate is Johari Lal Meena. The BSP had issued ticket to Banna Ram Meena. The incumbent MLA of National People's Party (NPP), Golma Devi, is not in the polling fray. The party has instead fielded Beena Devi. Check the poll results live here.
Kathumar (SC): From this reserved seat, the BJP has replaced its incumbent MLA Mangal Ram with Babulal Manager, whereas, the Congress has fielded former legislator Babulal Bairwa. The BSP candidate is Iswar Singh. Stay tuned with the live results below.
Kaman: Muslim voters form a considerable section of the electorate in this constituency. The BJP had replaced its incumbent MLA Jagat Singh with Jawahar Singh Beadham, whereas, the Congress candidate is former MLA Zahida Khan. The BSP has fielded Ishwari Dayal. Nagar: Here, the BJP has repeated its sitting MLA Anita Singh, whereas, the Congress has fielded Murari Lal. One of the key challengers is BSP's Wajib Ali -- who emerged the first runner-up in 2013 on NPP ticket. Catch the fastest result updates here.
Deeg–Kumher: The Congress has reposed faith in its incumbent legislator from the seat, Vishvendra Singh, who is being challenged by BJP leader and former MLA Digamber Singh. The BSP has fielded Pratap Singh Sinsinwar. Check the live results here.
The final results will be declared by the Election Commission by end of the day. The exit polls, released last week, had overwhelmingly predicted the Congress to oust the Vasundhara Raje-led BJP from power.
