Ramdas Athawale Says 'Rs 15 Lakh Will Come in Everybody's Account Slowly', Blames RBI For Delay

In a controversial statement, Athawale said that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has the money which can result in Rs 15 lakh deposited in every Indian's account, but said that the central bank is not giving it.

In a controversial statement, Athawale said that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI)  has the money which can result in Rs 15 lakh deposited in every Indian's account, but said that the central bank is "not giving it" and hence the amount can't be collected. He further said that there are some technical issues.

Ramdas Athawale was recently slapped at a public function. A youth wing worker of Republican Party of India (RPI) was brutally thrashed by people in Thane's Ambernath area on December 9 after he slapped Union Minister and party leader Ramdas Athawale at an event in the city on Saturday.

According to a tweet by ANI, the worker, identified as Pravin Gosavi suffered injuries and has been shifted to the state-run J J hospital in Mumbai after receiving initial treatment in Ambernath. In a 37 second video released by ANI, several supporters were seen bashing Gosavi for slapping their party chief. The cops tried to stop the attackers but to no avail. Athawale said after the incident that the attack on him was planned by Opposition parties as they were jealous of his popularity.
