Ayodhya, June 15: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said the Modi government will enact a law for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya if all options fail. Speaking at the Dharam Sansad organised to mark the conclusion of the birthday celebrations of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das on Saturday, assured saints and seers that Rem temple will be built very soon.

Maurya said the matter (Babri Masjid-Ram Janmbhoomi title dispute) was being heard in the Supreme Court and efforts were also being made for a solution through mediation. "If these two options do not work, we will enact a law," the deputy chief minister said. Maurya said the BJP had returned to power with the blessings of the saints and the party will follow the diktat of "the holy men". ‘Proud of Babri Masjid Demolition, We Removed Waste From Our Lord Ram’s Temple’, Says Sadhvi Pragya Thakur.

"The dream of a grand Ram temple will be realised soon," he added. Reacting to Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray's scheduled visit to Ayodhya tomorrow, Maurya denied that the BJP ally was trying to snatch Ram temple issue from them. "All who wish to visit pilgrimage sites are welcome. Thackeray along with his 18 MPs will visit Ayodhya tomorrow. Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said Thackeray had promised to visit Ayodhya with his MPs after elections and he was simply fulfilling the promise. MPs will return to Mumbai after offering prayers at the temple. The Yogi Adityanath government has accorded the state guest status to Thackeray and Sena MPs.
