Mumbai, November 23: Two days ahead of ‘Dharam Sansad’ in Ayodhya, the Uttar Pradesh government has beefed up security by announcing that 20 companies of PAC and two companies of RAF will be deployed in the city. Along with security forces, drone cameras and anti-terror squads will also be deployed. The event will be organised in support of the controversial Ram Mandir construction.
Around 1,500 Shiv Sainiks boarded a special train from Thane on Thursday at 2:50 pm and expected to reach by Friday evening. Along with Shiv Sena, Vishwa Hindu Parishad have also supported the event and two lakhs Hindus are expected to attend the event on November 25. Ram Mandir Row: Ayodhya Tense as VHP, Shiv Sena Mobilise Cadre For Massive Show of Strength on Sunday
Chanting the slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’, the Shiv Sainiks in Thane boarded the train and along with it, another slogan was coined by the saffron outfit supporters – ‘Har Hindu ki yahi pukar, pehle Mandir phir sarkar (every Hindu has only one calling, first the temple then government). With this, the BJP ally made this clear that they are giving priority to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, rather than supporting the government in 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Though Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray had stated earlier that he would not hold a rally, but has mentioned it clearly that he will attend the event and meet the saints and seers. He will also attend the ‘Saryu Aarti’ and offer prayers at the makeshift Ram temple during his two-day visit to the holy city.
Stating the adequate security arrangements will be done by the administration, UP DGP OP Singh said that Supreme Court’s order will be followed to maintain peace in the area. He also informed that the district has been divided into sectors and each one will be headed by a gazette officer.
ADG Lucknow zone and IG Lucknow would camp in Ayodhya on November 24 and 25. No mass movement of people would be allowed towards the makeshift temple and prohibitory orders have been imposed, the DGP added.
