Qamar first met PM Modi when he was a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker. Qamar said that this year there is a special gift for PM Modi. She will be gifting a painting on the current situation of the country. "The painting made by my husband is similar to what we gave to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee when he conducted a nuclear test in Pokhran," she told India Tv.

Qamar came to India after marriage and has been living in Gujarat's Ahmedabad, since then. According to reports, she has reached the national capital to celebrate 2019 Raksha Bandhan with PM Modi.

As this year Raksha Bandhan is on the same day of Independence Day, PM Narendra Modi will first address the nation from Red Fort, after which he will return to his residence at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg (earlier 7 Race Course Road) where he will celebrate Raksha Bandhan.
