New Delhi, November 1: BJP Rajya Sabha MP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) ideologue Rakesh Sinha on Thursday said he would soon introduce a private member bill in Parliament for construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. In a series of tweets, Rakesh Sinha asked Congress president Rahul Gandhi, BSP chief Mayawati, RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav and CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury will they support his bill.
"To those who keep asking the BJP and the RSS about when Ram temple will be constructed, I have a straight question: Will you support my private member bill [on Ram temple]?" Sinha asked. "Will Rahul Gandhi, Sitaram Yechury, Lalu Prasad, Mayawati support the private member bill on Ayodhya? They frequently ask the date (as to when construction of Ram temple will start). Sinha said legislation for building a grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya had been necessitated because the Supreme Court is delaying its verdict on the matter. "How many days the Supreme Court took to give verdict on Article 377, Jallikattu, Sabarimala? But Ayodhya is not a priority for decades and decades. The apex court on Monday ordered to list the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi title suit in January 2019 for fixing the date of hearing. Following the top court order, the demand for enacting a law for construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya has resurfaced.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said the majority community in the country expects an early Supreme Court verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi title suit saying "justice delayed is justice denied".
