Jaipur, July 22: Amid the ongoing political crisis in the state, Rajasthan Assembly Speaker CP Joshi on Wednesday justified his action on issuing a show-cause notice to rebel Congress legislators. Joshi even stated that he received the application regarding the horse-trading issues in state and issued a show-cause notice.

Speaking to reporters, Joshi said, as quoted by news agency ANI, "Speaker's responsibilities are well defined by Supreme Court & Constitution. As Speaker I got an application & to seek info on it, I issued a show-cause notice. If show cause notice will not be issued by the authority, then what is the work of authority." Joshi even added that had asked his counsel to file SLP in Supreme Court. Sachin Pilot Sends Legal Notice to Congress MLA Giriraj Singh Malinga for His Rs 35 Crore Bribery Allegation.

Earlier in the day, former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot has served a legal notice to Congress MLA Giriraj Singh Malinga for his Rs 35 crores bribery allegation. Malinga had alleged that the rebel Congress leader (Pilot) had offered him money to join the BJP. Reports inform that Malinga is in the Gehlot camp and staying at a hotel on Delhi highway along with other MLAs.
